The American Immigration Program (Diversity
Visa Program) offers each year a Green Card
Lottery -permanent residence visa- in which 50 000 people
have a chance to win the very much desired document.
Applicants are selected in a random computer-generated
drawing and the chances to win are fairly
good especially when the applicant comes from a country which
has been disadvantaged in the last drawing.
On the other hand countries which have been lucky the last 5
years and have received more than 50 000 Green Cards will not
participate in the upcoming lottery.
