"I have incorporated my US business in 2003 through Dr. Schilling Consulting.
From the beginning I have been informed about the advantages and disadvantages a US corporation has to offer. Those guys even told me a couple of times, take your time and don’t rush into it. I have to admit I bugged them with questions and when I felt good, I sent in the order.

Through our branch in California, our business reached a new level. Our sales went up drastically and now we do roughly 40 percent more than we did before opening the branch. "We are small company in Bavaria, Germany. We wanted to widen our business base and therefore we thought we need a US corporation. The decision was made and via the Chamber of Commerce in Germany, as well as the Internet we „found“ three companies which could help us to set up the US company.

"Maybe I have a little more time than others therefore I had a chance to inform myself extensively with the subject of a US corporation. My father runs a midsize company where we employ on average 20 people. I am currently writing my thesis and becoming a Master of Economics.
Within the family it was discussed how we could find a way so that our US suppliers would give us the same pricing as they give their US customers. We had found at an exhibition that there were price differences possible up to 12 percent. We felt that we had to find a way to get those prices so that we would have an equal playing ground with our world wide competitors.

Since we don’t have the financial and personal resources to send someone to the US and open up a corporation I started searching on the Internet. With very few search words I found more than 100 companies which offer incorporating services. The question was, who could fulfill our needs?

I set up an letter which I sent to at least 50 companies which I had picked out of the huge list. Within a minute or so, we had answers, unfortunately they were autoresponder answers. The messages read more less always the same “…someone of us will contact you shortly…” Indeed most of them answered within a week.

The first company which answered was Dr. Schilling Consulting, Inc in Santa Barbara. It was suggested that we talk on the phone. We received an e-mail with all kind of numbers on it so that we could reach someone even after our normal business hours. Since I didn’t want to do the call then, I sent Dr. Schilling our numbers and asked him to call us in the evening when the family was together.

On the minute, Dr. Schilling called and we had an open, informative, and very nice conversation. The entire family listened and I am sure we asked him so many question in a short period of time that we thought he might quit on us, but he didn’t.

After the conversation we all nodded our heads — we were certain that this was the person we wanted to use to incorporate our US Company. Besides him, no one else called us, they always invited us to call them, one even on a free calling number.

Since January of 1999, we now have our US company and we have found the most reliable partner you can dream of. Dr. Schilling in the meantime is our fixed outside consultant and when he is in Germany he stops by and is always welcomed.
